This week on the Born to Be Podcast, Pastor Daron and Radio Theology Host Lisa Graft, interview Betsy Drach. While in college, Betsy got hooked on using a menstrual cup (yes, you read that right!). Around the same time she was also introduced to the plight of women and girls around the world without access to basic menstrual care products. It stirred something inside of her. The problem and its solution quite literally collided in her mind, heart, and hands, and the idea for a 1-for-1 menstrual cup company was born. Life got in the way though, and it wasn’t until five years later that (while on maternity leave!) she decided to get serious about this dream she couldn’t shake.
You guys aren’t going to want to miss this inspirational story of a city girl changing the lives of women around the world! (Don’t worry, we keep the “feminine” talk to a minimum).
A Dot cup is a re-usable alternative to tampons that is worn for up to 12 hours and emptied in the toilet at the end of each day. The sheer convenience, lack of leaks, landfill reduction, and cost-savings will make you wonder why you didn’t discover Dot long ago.
For every Dot Menstrual Cup purchased, one is given to a woman or girl, providing her with the opportunity to prioritize her education, work, and community involvement without shame or interruption.
